A sexual harassment lawsuit filed in California against Hollywood producer Jon Peters has resulted in a judgment being entered against him in the amount of $822,000 dollars.

The sexual harassment lawsuit was filed by Peter's former personal assistant alleging that she had been sexually harassed by the producer. The jury in the case agreed. They also found that Peters had subjected his assistant to a hostile work environment.

Jurors further determined that Peters acted with malice, which is a finding that could lead to additional court hearings and the awarding of punitive damages in the case.

The 44-year-old former personal assistant brought the lawsuit against the 66-year-old producer and his company, J.P. Organization, Inc., in December of 2006. She alleges that Peters inappropriately touched her while she was at his Malibu home. The suit further states the producer crawled into bed with her while the two were staying at a hotel in Australia and that Peters had exposed himself to her and her 2-year-old daughter in an outdoor restroom while the they were visiting his Santa Barbara ranch.

The former personal assistant, who was employed by Peters for a year in 2005, also claimed that after she quit her job, she was unable to get another job because of Peters' influence in Hollywood.

Attorneys for the producer said that the personal assistant had agreed to a written release of all claims against Peters in January of 2006. They also maintain that she was unable to produce witness to the alleged sexual harassment.

Peters has produced such films as "Rain Man," "Caddyshack," "Bonfire of the Vanities," and "Superman Returns."
